F.U.N.K.E Avionics and SafeSky today announced a strategic partnership at AERO 2026 to enhance traffic visibility for light aviation and general aviation pilots.
By combining the certified F.U.N.K.E TM350 traffic monitor with SafeSky’s connected ecosystem, the solution brings together traditional air-to-air surveillance including ADS-B, ADS-L and FLARM with more than 30 additional traffic data sources, delivering a clearer and more complete traffic picture directly in the cockpit.
One Unified View of Airspace
The solution provides a unified and coherent view of airspace by combining multiple technologies and data sources into a single traffic picture.
It enables visibility across a wide range of airspace users, including general aviation, gliders, paramotors, paragliders, ultralights, helicopters and drones.
By merging traditional air to air surveillance with connected traffic data, the system reduces blind spots and fragmentation between technologies that have historically operated independently. This is particularly valuable in low altitude and mixed use environments, where different types of aircraft and operations increasingly share the same airspace.
For pilots, this means a clearer understanding of surrounding traffic, improved situational awareness and better decision making throughout all phases of flight.
Including Drone Visibility in the Cockpit
Through partnerships with leading drone ecosystem players such as DJI, the solution enables real time visibility of drone traffic directly in the cockpit, particularly at low altitude where most operations take place.
This represents a major step towards integrating drones into the broader aviation environment and improving safety in shared airspace.
Benefits for Pilots Across All Classes
This solution delivers traffic awareness benefits to pilots across all types of aircraft and flying activities:
A more complete and reliable traffic picture combining multiple technologies
Improved awareness of low altitude and cooperative traffic
Better anticipation of potential conflicts in dense or mixed airspace
Seamless integration into existing cockpit workflows
Beyond E-Conspicuity: The Connected Cockpit
The solution is ADSL for Mobile ready and designed around a flexible "bring your own internet" approach. Pilots can simply connect the system using their preferred connectivity, whether through phone tethering, onboard LTE equipment or satellite services such as Starlink, Amazon Leo or emerging low Earth orbit constellations.
This connectivity agnostic design ensures the system is already compatible with current and future technologies, making it both future proof and immediately operational.
This Internet connectivity goes beyond traffic awareness by enabling live flight information services directly on cockpit displays and Electronic Flight Bags such as Air Navigation Pro and EasyVFR.
Pilots can access in real time:
Live NOTAMs
METAR and TAF updates
Weather radar with rain wind visualisation
F.U.N.K.E and SafeSky fully support the EASA ADSL Coalition vision, promoting a single interoperable language called ADSL across aviation, combined with multiple communication links from traditional air-to-air to LTE and IP connectivity

Availability
Demonstration is available at the FUNKE booth B1-101 during AERO 2026. Full commercial availability is planned for Autumn 2026.
Marco Festa, Director Avionic Product at FUNKE Avionics, said
“With the TM350, we deliver a certified aircraft grade traffic awareness system designed for real operational use. With SafeSky integration, we extend this capability to provide a broader and more complete operational picture for pilots.”
Tristan Fily, CEO of SafeSky, added
“With over 100,000 pilots in our community, SafeSky connects a wide range of airspace users. Together with FUNKE, we bring this visibility directly into the cockpit to improve safety for everyone.”
