Whether you are acting as an AFIS agent at an airfield, or organising a fly-in, following a group of aircraft during a rally, or simply want to display local traffic in your clubhouse, having a clear picture of what is happening around you can make a real difference.
If you already use Flightradar24 or other traffic maps, you’ll love SafeSky Live — with a unique view of the low-altitude traffic that matters to your flying.
This is exactly what the new SafeSky Live is designed for. And it's free and without any advertising.
SafeSky Live gives you a real-time view of the air traffic that matters to you, directly from a web browser. No installation is required: use it on a PC, tablet or smart TV.

What you need to know |

Acting at an AFIS agent at an Airfield?
An aircraft is approaching but has not yet made its first radio call. With SafeSky Live, you can already see it approaching. You can see its callsign when available, altitude, track and direction of flight, and understand how it relates to the other traffic around the airfield.
You can define the zones that matter to your operation: for example an approaching sector, the immediate airfield environment or another area requiring particular attention. When an aircraft enters one of those zones, SafeSky Live can alert you. Instead of trying to interpret a map containing every aircraft in the region, you decide exactly what should be displayed.
The result is a simple, dedicated traffic picture configured around your airfield and the way you operate.
SafeSky Live does not replace radio communication or established airfield procedures. It provides an additional source of situational awareness, helping you build a clearer picture of approaching, departing and passing traffic.
Organising a Fly-In, Competition or Aviation Event?
A busy aviation event creates a very different challenge. You may have dozens of participating aircraft arriving from different directions, local traffic continuing to operate, and other aircraft simply passing nearby.
SafeSky Live allows organisers to create a traffic view specifically for their event. Participating aircraft can, for example, be assigned a dedicated colour so that they are immediately recognisable among surrounding traffic.
You can define the geographical area relevant to the event, decide which altitude range to display, follow aircraft tracks and create zones corresponding to the areas you particularly want to monitor.
This makes SafeSky Live useful for fly-ins, competitions, rallies, open days and other aviation events where having a simple overview of the surrounding traffic can help the organising team maintain situational awareness during busy periods.
Following a Rally or Flying Trip?
SafeSky Live isn’t limited to airfield operations. Perhaps your club is organising a flying trip involving ten aircraft. Or you are running a rally with participants spread across several hundred kilometres.
Create a group containing the participating aircraft, assign them their own colour and create a SafeSky Live view dedicated to the trip. The same view can then be shared with the people following the event.
Friends, families or club members staying at home can open the link and follow the participating aircraft as the trip progresses.
Or Simply Put It on the Club TV
Sometimes the use case is much simpler. What’s flying around us right now?
SafeSky Live can be displayed on a smart TV in the clubhouse or club bar, providing pilots, members and visitors with a live picture of aviation activity around the airfield.
Configure the view once, create the TV link, and leave it running.
Your Traffic Picture, Your Way
Every airfield and every event is different. That is why SafeSky Live is designed around customization rather than imposing one standard traffic display.
You decide:
Where: define the area and altitude you want to monitor.
What: choose which traffic and aircraft you want to see.
How: organise aircraft into groups, colours and dedicated views.
Alerts: create your own zones and decide when you want to be alerted.
You only need to configure these choices once. Your configuration can then be reused and shared.
